Functional Decorative Pottery For Home And Garden

           Most of my work is produced from slabs. A slab roller resembles grandma’s wash wringer set in a table. The clay is placed between two sheets of canvas, and rolled into a slab which is then ready to imprint with leaves.

         Some items, such as bowls, are “thrown” on the potters wheel. A lump of clay is placed on the wheel, centered and opened. The walls are pulled up, thinned, and the bowl is shaped,
